DIY Cinch Bag

Hello everyone!
Sorry I haven't posted in a while but I had family over from England so was spending time with them.

It is nearly the end of the summer holidays for me which means back to school! So here is a cinch bag I made with inspiration from Pinterest, which is nice to use as a school bag or just a weekend or casual everyday handbag, whatever you want really!

It has a tie in the middle which you can make tighter or looser. And I made lining from an old dress! I'm sure you could find the tutorial on Pinterest if you searched for it. I really like it and I think it's quite cute and simple for school.

Sorry for the bad quality photos and for not posting for a while!

DIY Black Bow T-Shirt

Hello Everyone!
How are you all doing?

So the idea for this t-shirt came from pinterest, (I'll add my pinterest profile to my blog soon so you can check that out), anyway I saw a girl wearing a t-shirt and I thought that it was so pretty and I looked on their website and it said you can buy it here and blah blah blah.... But I was like hey I can make that. Also I'm really sorry but I didn't repin the picture and I can't remember the website with the t-shirt but I hope you'll get the idea...

I went to OVS, which is a clothes shop in Italy and some of their stuff is quite nice, anyway I bought a plain white t-shirt from there in the sales and I think it was around €8, which was good, so if you live in Italy or are here on holiday or whatever check that out if you haven't already... And with that t-shirt I just cut a hole out of the back of the t-shirt, leaving the seam at the top, that goes around the neck, so that i could sew the bow to that. And with my sewing machine I sewed down the raw edge of the circle.

To make the bow I bought some black material that was quite thick because it needed to be able to keep it's shape and stay up. With that I cut a rectangle which was roughly the size I wanted my bow to be, but it had curved edges, (I'll put an image below to show you what I mean). Then I cut a long strip of material to wrap around the bow. I sewed the end of the long strip with my sewing machine, after that I hand sewed the bow into the strip, and I hand sewed the strip that wrapped around the bow  to the t-shirt. If you want to glue gun all that or use any other method to attach it then I'm sure that would work too.

So I cut a shape that was kind of like this image above for my bow but the curves weren't as strong, they were more straight if you know what I mean. But if you want your bow to have more pleats then just make it a normal rectangle, I just found that this way it stayed paper and looked better.

So this is my DIY Black Bow T-Shirt, I'm really happy with it, and I think it's a really cool, pretty spin on a basic old white tee. I hope my explanation on how I did this was clear and that you can understand it! I'm pretty new to all this stuff. So it will get better!
Have a good day!

Before & After Black and White Playsuit

Hello Everyone!
So I bought this black and white polkadot playsuit 2 summers ago I think, and I loved it, but let's face it, it was too small, the zip wouldn't do up and the top was to short so it made the shorts pull up too...

Anyway I decided I would cut off the top part and make them into a cute pair of shorts, it was really simple, but I'll explain all the details in a minute.

Hello Everyone!

Hello everyone!
How are you all? I hope you are all enjoying your last couple of weeks of summer before It's time for school again! Or maybe you've already started in which case good luck! Anyway let me tell you about myself, I'm Anastasia and I just turned 14 this week! Yay excitement!! My family is originally from Cyprus, but I was born in England and lived there until I was 9, I then moved to Parma, Italy for my dads work and here I am now.

This blog is basically just going to be about fashion, style, Diy, crafts and whatever else comes to my mind really.

My love of making clothes really started when we bought a sewing machine a few years back, and I just kind of taught myself how to sew. My grandparents were tailors, so my dad knows almost everything there is to know about clothes making, so he has taught me a lot because unfortunately my grandparents can't be here to do that. So that's amazing because I'll show him one of my ongoing projects and he'll show me a thousand other better ways to do it. This will normally end up in me unpicking the whole seam and doing it again, but that's ok because it just makes it look better or last better.

Anyway enough of me babbling on about my life history. I hope you enjoy this blog, and find inspiration for style or something that you want to make or anything! I think I'll just be showing you pictures of the garments I make at first because I don't use patterns, therefore it will be quite difficult to show you tutorials, but with some practise and experience I'm sure I'll get there soon! I just really hope you guys love this!
